hi so i found out that the ball bearings in my idle pulley went out. i was wondering if someone could tell me step by step as of how to take it out. i searched first and found the y33 idle pulley diagram and tried to take out the 12mm vertical bolt but it kept turning. i know this may sound stupid to most people on here but can someone please help me? thanks.

You loosen the bolt in the center of the pulley. You then take the tension off the belt by loosening the vertical bolt you speak of... It's a tensioner bolt... it does not come off. Once loose, finish removing the center bolt and remove the pulley, noting the order in which the washers etc are being removed.

I forgot to mention that there are three pulleys in all. AC, PS and Alternator. Which one of yours is bad? Usually when one is done, the other two are almost at that same point. Let me know if you need a set. I have a good set of used ones... smooth turning. Email me if interested.

The correct name is belt idler or tensioning pulley not idle.
