I'm not having much luck searching for pics and DIY info, just coming up with a lot of references to it being done.

What's involved in adding an additional ground to the MAF and what symptoms would indicate that it needed the secondary ground? Are you grounding the MAF itself or the connector plug? Anyone got pics or a link to DIY instructions? Thanks for your help.

Hey Mike - If you'll call me tomorrow (602-828-8908), I will be under the hood of my Q, and I can tell you exactly where it runs (from and to).

It was an easy mod, the dealer did mine.

A fix for some early MAF, usually not required on later models.

Greg- I might just do that. Actually, I'm helping a new member in the morning who's having MAF problems with his 90Q and I wanted to know what's involved in running the ground. I'm bringing over a MAF to swap in and hopefully that will be all it needs. Thanks.

Is it the MAF or the plug that gets the extra wire?

If the ground wire from maf connector to ecu is below 0.50 ohms you don't need an auxillary ground..................

The connectors were usully defective and the act of taking them apart and soldering a wire [be it ground or other] fixed the problem not the extra ground itself.
