My 94s foot rest pad is sitting in my back seat floot wells waiting to be glued back on. Anyone have any suggestions that will make it stick for good (like it does in my 92)?

Or

Has anyone done any mods here? Like add an Audi TT foot rest or some other interesting mod? If so, post pics.

Mine came off too... I have never got around to fixing it...

However, i got some of this 3M carpet and upholstery glue from autozone a whlie back ago, i used it to glue down some loose vinyl on the B pillar trim.. Worked fantastic!

Might give that a try...

I've seen a lot of 94+ G50s with a fallen foot rest. It's only glued on the paremeter of the pad.

But has anyone tried anything aftermarker in regards to foot rests?

I think I'll try the cement that Wes mentioned. Does this count towards my DIY status?

mine fell off at about 130,000 miles-looks like it was held on by a double sided tape by looking at the remains on the carpet and backside of the cover.I used foam double sided tape and it has remained in place for 30,000 miles so far! might want to reattach this soon after it falls off,as i have seen q`s with a hole in corner of carpet where this pad would be.

Glued mine back as I rest my foot there a lot, and don't want any more height so my arch won't interfere with back of undeployed parking brake.

agree Brian-I would have loved a aluminum dead pedal, but the parking brake location makes for little room for a 6`3" person with size 13 shoes!

I went to a mirror installation shop years ago asking about the heavy thick black stuff that looks like tar that they use to mount mirrors directly on the walls.....the stuff costs like $35 a gallon and is some NASA stuff that hardens with age and they did it for $10. The pad has not moved an inch since then.

Yeah, I would be surprised if cyanoacrylate would work as there has to be some flexibility. I know carpet glue doesn't. I'll have to find the tube of what I used.

I have a laser cut brushed aluminum dead pedal. I made a paper template of what I wanted and had a friend get it cut for me for free. When I get the digital camera back I will snap a pic and post it. I have it attached with double stick COMMERCIAL velcro just in case I needed to take it out for repairs etc. It ain't moving. I enjoy tapping my work/dress shoes on it while listening to music(I know it's corny).

On a Q45? Not much toe tapping room there unless your feet were bound as a kid! Show us a picture. Velcro is a good idea.

It's next to impossible to take a pic without any glare. Click the links to look in my gallery. Be careful as it opens to its full sized image. Click it again to see the smaller view.

I just reglued mine a week ago with clear bathtub caulking. It stunk up the car for a day but will never come loose again.
