I'm getting a "Stop Light Inoperative" message on my left hand display on my Q. Why is that? I had my dad hold down the brake while I went around to the back. The two brake lights are on, as well as the top light. What's wrong with it? The message will turn off and it will say "OK" in the display box, or it'll say A:etc milesB:etc miles. Is that my trip odometer? I swear it counts miles really fast.

PLEASE HELP!

Get OEM bulbs from Joe and the message will go away.

There are also two bulbs in the third brake light, if only one is out it'll say that too. I've personnaly never had a problem with aftermarket bulbs but many say they have.

Bet you have it set to metric.

Try reading the Owner's Manual.

The Q's got two trip meters, I like that feature as I'm pretty anal about figuring mileage and distances. I use them both all the time for various things. One shows full tank mileage and the other I can use for random calculations.

LOL Brian

Do a NICO search on the error message. Basically, the bulbs are about to burn out or the bulb cluster is due for replacement. The cluster can be purchased from Infiniti of Scottsdale.

While the Q's computer screen is neat, it doesn't do much for drivers. I like the system on Cadillacs, BMWs, and Lincolns, displaying MPG, avg MPG, compass, trip, arrival time, oil change (based on 3k), fluid levels, and more.

There is also a good chance the sensor is in need of some re-soldering.

Its located next to the trunk latch under the carpet paneling(sp?) in the trunk.

yeah the first time i saw the lil screen in my friends 91 seville, i was mad that mine didnt show that fun lil info.

Itd be neat to have it show that info, or maybe some aftermarket display that could hook into the ecu (yeah right, like thats gonna happen with a G50 lol)
