"Cheap" injuectors and non OEM fuel pumps do not go with G50 ownership.

Better start by reading the FSM.

By cheap I meant less than deatchworks. Some people use Walbro sure thats not oe.Was just wondering it doesnt really make sense to go oe on a car worth less than 3 grand.I like the car yes,but its not a 50 grand car anymore. Now if a G.M.C v8 fuel pump fits in the cradle and flows the same as a oe pump for 1/3rd the price what could it hurt?there is a documentary on cars in Colombia where every one drives cars from the 50's and 60's and some look brand new but without oe parts they fabricate there own. Some even look like they belong in a museum.

The key will be if it fits in the cradle properly and you can match the flow rate. For $50 give it a try. If you're wrong you can recoup the money by not going out to dinner the next Friday night.

This link and its charts will help you see someother choices to achieve the minimum ~ 240 liter per hour/ 64 gallons per hout WOT flow.

http://www.stealth316.com/2-fuelpumpguide.htm

Remember the flow must be at least twice the amount that squirts out injectors to maintain a stable 43.4 psi.

As long as the pump works for ~ 350 HP V8 it should work ok and not starve the engine. Watch out for low flow PU truck FP even with big displacement.

Actually, there are 3 flow rates as set by the FPCU on signals from the ECU. So it must have the same values for which the FPCU is calibrated.

I hate missing dinners or having a car that does not perform well.
