In some of the posts I noticed that there was some mention of difficulty finding front lower arms with ball joints included. I just saw on the Auto Parts Warehouse web site the price of approx. $239 with ball joints and bushings.

When you add lower control arm, upper link, tension rod, kingpin, bearing, shocks, tie rod ends and rubber items and misc.............you arrive at ~~$1200 to do it correctly all at once to minimze labor and maximize that new car feeling. PER SIDE

Thats a little too much money for me. One side would be more than I paid for the whole car. I guess that I'll be happy with new shocks.

Like half a leg is better than no leg? Maybe.

The conceptual problem is you think you have a Pinto or a Civic because those were your alternative purchases, when in fact it is a $50K+ car, regardless what you paid for it. The discount at which you purchased it merely represented the accumulated deferred maintenance. It is a shame that you and a few others with the drive-it-until-I-break-it attitude will never experience what the car's true capabilities are. Rehabilitating a G50 properly is really quite inexpensive when viewed in that light. Abusing it is not.

The point is that eventually you will need to replace every part of the front suspension.

Why a $50,000 car goes to near worthless as it ages............$25,000 worth of parts need replacing to return to near new.

Most of us have done it as they wearout and sequentially.....as they have been diagnosed.

The more you replace the more you find that need replacing.

Just so you know you can replace the bushingsin the lower control arm from ones out of a Z32, as welll as the ball joints from a Z. not sure if that would offset the cost of just buying new once you go to the trouble of pressing bushings and ball joints.
