Hey everyone i just stumble upon this website not too long ago and started reading up on the Q45 and all their glory. And well after reading this section of the forum of about a week. I've gain a lot of interests in the g50 mainly a 94-95 year model for the obvious reasons of the tensioners but also the newer body style appeals to me more.

I've done some car domain searchs and stuff to see if any has done any cosmetic mods in the front. I didn't find much aside from a bodykit. I was wondering if there were other mods I can do to it to make it look a little more recent and a lot less dated. Something simple i would think i could achieve would be to attempt to sand out the inside of the headlights to gain a clear looking lens and put in a xenon projector in it. But aside from that i don't know of anything else one can do.

I believe there are 1 or 2 guys here that have made Projector lights work.

I think 1 used a BMW 5 series lamp and Im not sure about the others.

Try searching archived posts for those threads.

There was a "special kid" awhile back with fishtanks I think, if thats your style.

Im not sure if there are different grill options for it, as im a buckle man.

Good luck and Welcome

Like compared to an AzteK?

With enough money, one can do anything. Don't look at Jaguars.

I'm sorry, I know that you covered this in the thread where you revealed your headlight, but I need some details.

Where/how did you acquire the headlights?

How much did they cost?

Installation details? How much modification was necessary?

while that is understood i was referring to simple bolt on mods or slight mods. obviously if i had the money i could attempt skyline conversions or w/e my little heart wants. but that wasn't what i was refering to.

On the other hand those JDM headlights is what i'm refering too. the grille i guess should be change out as well.

The rear end of the car appeals to me a lot i just need to add a T spoiler and its all good for me. The front on the other hand i would consider the JDM headlights but i would like to attempt to do the projector setup first.

the front end of these cars looks really simple and outdated i'm just looking for a more agreesive look.

I got the headlights through a friend in Japan. The lights are pretty pricey....you can pay anywhere fron $350.00-$500.00for a set already cleared out, this price is before shipping from Japan and auction fees.http://page8.auctions.yahoo.co...91816http://page6.auctions.yahoo.co...91992

AS far as installation, its a bolt on affair with a little bit of wire splicing on the high beam harness.I would also have to agree on the projector setup,as the lighting on these is pretty bad.If lights have not been cleared out , this is what they look like....

And blind the oncoming traffic.

Neither a wise nor responsible option.

Blinding oncoming traffic is not the problem ( at leats on the ones I have on my Q) its just the the beam is aimed too low.Headlights from Japan dont have the fancy level on top of the housing so you can see if the beam is level.

Ross, those lights wouldnt work on your Q since the clear ones were only available for the 94-96 Q...

Anyway, Sijoko made a mesh grille that I thought looked nice...

There was a 90-93 Q one ebay that swapped to a 94-96 front end. ONce that's done there is the headlights above, as well as the BMW angle eyes lights mentioned earlier. Not to mention the full President front end swap.

Anything's possible with enough cash, but if you haven't realized yet, nothing's cheap when it comes to a Q .

The lights wont fit 90'-93' unless you change the whole front end(fenders, bumper and hood)My Q is on Cusco coilovers off of a z32.

Q in stock form ...

For the rear I just had to swap the cusco upper mounts for the stock Q mounts. For the front , I had to enlarge one of the upper mount holes in the Qs body , and I also had to enlarge the eyebolt (lower)on the coilover.Thats pretty much it.

That means the lower mounting may fit the front of a 90-93 Q without modding, as the lower mounting point on the 90-93 is smaller and shocks from a 90-93 will not fit a 94-96 due to this.

Is it possible to swap the front end from a mid 90's Q with a grill to a belt buckle q? Is it just the hood, bumper, and lights, or the fenders too? Extra airflow to the radiator is always nice....
