My front right side caliper started leaking just as I had my front brake disc and pads replaced. I need to rebuild or replace. What do you guys suggest? If I rebuild the caliper, where can I get a kit?

As usual, you got my back

I appreciate the link. Now where did NSR_A32 (Kenny) find the rebuild kit and how much was it?

Here's what Napa has:

FROM JOE's site

41120-60U25 $33.29

Brakes Hydraulic system Front brakes Overhaul kit Q45

There you go... however the one from rock auto if you can get it locally would probably suffice.

I couldn't find it on Joe's site. I'd like to buy it locally tomorrow morning if I can find it. I didn't put on my rear brakes or flush the fluid yet. I only did the fronts and I'm not comfortable driving the car in it's present condition.

If by chance you go with a whole new rebuilt caliper (looks like about $58 on Rock Auto's site) I would get the one from A1 Cardone. They rebuilt the ABS actuator on Q1, and came fairly highly recommended by Q45Tech if I remember correctly.

I wouldn't trust my Crappa to NAPA.

Don't use WD-40 on any internal brake parts--ANY residue will destroy the seals. Use ONLY 'brake parts cleaner'. NEVER use petroleum based solvent inside or around the brake system.

Be sure and properly clean out and relubricate the caliper mounting bolt holes. They tend to 'dry-out' and will not let the caliper 'float' properly on brake application--causing 'warper rotor' feel.

I got the Caliper Repair Kit. It's made by Raybestos ( $15 Canadian ). Got an appointment for Monday to get it done.

Made in China would have me on the phone to Joe for an overnight in a NY second.

What isn't made in China these days. I hate it too, but I'll take my chances on this one for now.
