This means that it looks like my FPCU is dying and I am trying to cheap out.
Q45tech in an earlier post had the idea of a three way switch to provide limp home capablitiy for a fubared FPCU: #1, locked position; #2, on position for normal functioning; #3, limp home with a fixed value resistor. He thought that someone(more motivated than myself) might figure out the value of a resistor that would run the fuel pump at a low but comportable value. What about a mid-range value to run in place of the FPCU? This of course is based on the premise that I never run in the upper third of the RPM range(that is the way it is for old farts that do not like to run-up huge repair bills).
