I have to replace the 2 door hinges and door check strap on my driver's door, because the wind flung the door open a little to far and my door is off. I bought the parts and I'm wondering if the fender has to come off to replace the door hinges?

The fender doesnt HAVE to come off but IMO it ends up being easier in the long run... You can get your sockets inside the fender to get the hinges off once the door is off, however its hard to get it adjusted right the first time, so youll end up taking the door on and off a couple times before getting it perfect.

Wes... you are so right on this one!!! you could spend the better part of a day taking the door on and off. or a couple of hours to R&R door and fender with perfect alignment.

I got the parts and the appointment. My concern is that the original estimate that I was given did not include removing the fender and the manager of the Infiniti bodyshop noticed that the quote was way too low $$$ and not enough time and now is trying to find a way to raise the estimate.
