all metal, #2652. 2-row. listed 1&5/16 core depth.

anyone used it?-fitment?-fitment with trans cooler in-between? (mine is pretty tight now with factory radiator (0&15/16 core depth--and the condesor pipe that goes laterally across).-filler neck the same (can continue to use OEM 88 kPa cap?)-draincock the same?- use of OAT with the copper/brass?

I had a CSF rad. put in my 96Q April 2007, works and fits perfectly so far. Not sure about the draincock,as I had it installed, and T3 did the only drain/fill as they replaced pump/thermo 11/07. Factory radiator cap fit mine fine, but I am pretty sure I got the aluminum/plastic end tank version,not the all metal one.

Go to http://www.csfimports.com to search their catalog { 2 versions for the g50} and get their info on required coolant type,etc. I think I requested the model with the plastic tanks only because I felt more comfortable with the aluminum core as opposed to the all metal model with the brass/copper core{even though the all metal version is a thicker core and 2 row as compared to single row on the alum/plastic model}

OK, reaserched the cap, that appears to be same.

OAT vs. copper brass search reveals some concern with lead solder seams in all metal radiators, but no hard evidence that i found.H-OAT lead solder compatibility undetermined.

question for the day: i've replaced G50 heater hoses before and my recall (sketchy) is that the heater core is brass/copper. can someone confirm?

Jay, the CSF website I posted earlier has a section on which coolant to use with each different type radiator they sell,did you see it?

I checked the catalog before, not tech section---but did now......

kinda the conclusion i was coming to: G-05 (HOAT) preferred for copper/brass.still--have had (orange) OAT in for over 3 years on factory heater core.

HOAT is also compat with the all-aluminum engine.

I bought the CSF with metal end tanks for my 92 Q. It performed flawlessly in midwest heat.
