Almost by accident, I discovered there is NDS1 for Android phones -- and it works for the G50.
Long story, but all it takes to work on an Android is the ECUTalk cable + a female USB 2.0 to Android mini-usb adapter.
Download and install NDS1 (Lite) from the Google Play store. I searched for Nissan Data Scan.
Next you need an adapter like the one in the picture to plug into your Android phone. Just the USB adapter, not the game controller..
Plug the adapter into your ECUTalk cable. Most of us already have the cable.
Enjoy NDS1 on your Android.

WARNING:
I purchased an adapter and cable set from a company named OBD Innovations. That was a mistake and a waste of money. Hopefully someone else can learn from my mistake there.
1) The adapter has a hard time fitting into the location where the 14 pin consult is located on my G50. So I was never able to plug the adapter into the consult port. I'm glad I still had my ECUTalk cable. It always works when I need to use it.
2) The adapter in the picture doesn't mate up with the female 14 pin consult port like it should. When I tried to use it on my 4th gen Maxima, I thought I was going to break off the consult port or damage it from the mismatch on fit. Again, the ECUTalk cable fits perfectly on the 14 pin consult and without you feeling like your are going to break the port.
3) If you report a problem with a product you purchase from OBD Innovations. I wish you luck.
OBDI is one of those internet companies where you can't trace it to an owner or an up front company. The shipping address is from a back door of some tiny place in San Jose CA.
Here's a picture of the adapter that I could not get to work with my G50 for the reasons listed above.
