I'm looking for some advice and or experiences with the following brake rotors. I need to buy new rotors and here is what my choices look like so far:

*Prices are approximate and in Canadian Dollars delivered.

OEM INFINITI $586 *If I buy them locally.

OEM INFINITI $594 ($360 rotors price approx. ++++ )*If I buy from Joe, because of exchange rates, handling fee, shipping charge, duty, federal tax, provincial tax. Dragging rotors across the border might not be worth it.

KVR Performance $580 after discount (Reg price approx $750 delivered)http://kvrperformance.com/shop..._6_51Sample Pic

Raybestos $556*If I buy them locally.

Powerslot $589*If I buy them locally.Sample Pic http://powerslot.com/pages/slot_app_infiniti.html

BREMBO Blanks $450*Delivered from a Canadian Store.Sample Pic

Magnum Drilled Brake Rotors $200*Delivered from a Canadian Store.Sample Pic http://cgi.ebay.ca/Magnum-Dril...wItem

SR Brake Rotors $192*Delivered from a Canadian Store.Sample Pic http://cgi.ebay.ca/SR-Brake-Ro...wItem

SALES HUT DRILLED ROTORS Close to $200*Delivered from a Canadian Store.Sample Pic http://cgi.ebay.ca/90-91-92-93...wItem

Drilled or slotted rotors would be the last thing I would want if I lived in Canada.

Check around for Concentric brand with a black painted hat.

Can you tell me what Concentric brand rotors with a black painted hat are exactly? I don't know what that means.

Thanks

He means OEM specification rotors with the hat (non braking rotor portion) painted black.

Tire Rack has a store in South Bend, Indiana. A little trip to the states and who knows you are bringing a new set of rotors across installed on the car?

The Brembos are not plated, so they will corrode.

The KVR and Stillen Brembos are made from Brembos cast in Canada. The Stillen are cadmium plated and the KVR can be. I have the KVR on another car and they are great. But so use OEM pads with either. I have Brembo plain and drilled Stillen Brembo on my Q45 and they are great, apart from the stock brembos not being plated.

PowerStop are highly recommended, but don't know if they are plated.

Proterfield seem to be cryogenically treated Power Stops.

Avoid all others, or at least approach with great caution as they are probably Chinese made like Rotora.

I went with the power stop "Cryo" rotors up front and have been fade and warp free for almost a year. I also did a ceramic pad. I got tired of consistantly warping rotors every time I drove the car hard or my wife drove it at all. I have also owned Stillen rotors on MANY cars and they have worked well also. I would stay away from the really cheap stuff as they are cheap for a reason and the Q seems so sensitive to both brake wear and vibration.

Good LuckScott

All the OEM G50 and FYG33 Brembo blanks I have seen are cast in Canada.

A lot better than China, I would say.
