G37XS Smoking After Driving Hard

Hey guys,

I'm new here, I just picked up a 2013 G37XS the other day. I bought it with 18k miles and it was 100% stock and certified pre-owned from the dealer.

So here's my problem:

This car is obviously a monster, super quick and I still have to get used to it's performance haha
As this is my first fast car, I am (no surprise) going to drive her hard. Now it's only been 2 days of me driving and on the second day of driving I noticed smoke coming from underneath the hood after I give it some gas or do a 0-60 run.

At first I thought it might be the hot brakes getting wet which caused steam but when I got closer and smelled it I smelled a mixture of burnt oil, non-burnt oil, anti-freeze and burned rubber. Now i'm not saying that this is what the smell consists of, it's just what it smells like to me and I could be wrong.

I talked to the dealer and they said they would check it out and let me know what's going on since it is covered by warranty.

If anyone has any input as to what this may be I would appreciate it but the main purpose of this post is in case someone out there may be experiencing the same thing. After the appointment tomorrow I will keep you guys updated and let you know what the problem was and how it was fixed!

No issues with mine running them hard. Where was the white smoke coming from?

it was coming from the grill

so the dealer found a cracked boot in which oil could have been coming out of and we also found a rat running around in the engine bay LOL

Boot was replaced and rat is gone, they inspected everything and said everything should be fine. the smell is still there but i haven't noticed any smoke. We decided to leave it for a few days to see if its something the rat left behind.. if the problem persists or gets worse ill be going back for further inspection..

If it's white smoke it is almost certainly coolant. Could be from a hose or the radiator. (White smoke from the exhaust is a head gasket or head.)

I'll probably check the coolant hoses myself. i did notice some coolant residue where the hose connects to the radiator but it didnt seem like it was a big deal

So the smell seems to have magically disappeared!
