The brake pedal of my 2009 G37X seems to be stuck down. When I attempt to depress the brake pedal prior to pushing the start button, the brake pedal does not move much. When the start button is depressed, the car starter turns but the car will not start. Does anyone know why?

I had a similar issue with my G37 after working on interior mods...seems I was pressing on the brake pedal with the engine off. When I tried to start it, it would not turn over. I got worried and must have depressed the brake harder and it started. Most likely what happened was when I hit the brake with the engine off, the pedal becomes stiff and will not move as easily. The hard pedal translated to the brake switch not registering and therefore not allowing the engine to start.

Now that's a bit different than what you wrote, because my starter did not turn over...but it's worth a try to just press the brake pedal hard while you try to start the car.

Call the dealer, You have infiniti roadside assistance till 60,000 miles. Let them send a tow, and get it fixed up. You may of had the brake booster fail.

Yeah, that's an odd one. Please report back what the dealer finds.

Welcome to NICO :)
