G37S Variation over the years

Hi all,

I've been floating around as a guest looking through the threads and there is quite a lot of useful information. Unfortunately, i still have an unanswered question so I thought i'd sign up.

I am looking into purchasing an 08-11 G37S (cause I want the 6-sp manual). I was wondering what the differences are between the years (for the sport package). I was ideally looking at the 08, since they are the cheapest, but i'd like to know what features I might be missing out on if I buy the older model.

There is not a lot of difference in them. I know the 08 had the option for the rear wheels to turn when turning but dont think it was available after 08. Other options are that the navigation system is different between the 09 and 10 models it goes from cd based to ahrd drive based( which is faster). gauge cluster is different also between 09 and 10 as the gauge goes from red needles to white and white lcd center display. Engine and transmission are the same in regards to manual transmission.
The silver trim piece is a little different between the 09 and 10 as well. but virtually same color and look.
The S (sports model) doesnt mean you get a manual. but all manuals are sports models.
The 08 in automatics were 5 speed
The 09 foward automatics are all 7speed.

I thought you can get the journey in manual also.

Anyways test drive the manual first to see if you actually like it.

Thanks for the info guy, I guess its not really worth it to get it new as I will suffer the max depreciation. Gonna look into 2008 now and hopefully find something good =). Anyone selling 08 G37S in Norcal?
