Thinking of buying a G37S sedan. Will be buying dedicated snow tires/wheels. Are there any 17's that fit over the sport brakes? I like taller sidewalls and narrower tires in the winter. Will probably run 225/55-17 all around. Saves money too.

Thanks.

(My first post on this forum. Looks like a great place to hang out! Will be spending a lot more time here if I take the plunge)

Hmmm. That's a good question. The sport brakes are 1.4" larger in diameter to the base G37 and the caliper may be a tad bigger as well. From searching around I saw one person who put 17" wheels on the sport and they stated the wheel weights slightly rubbed the factory caliper.

Just installed a set of 225/55-17 General Altimax Arctic tires on Sport Edition 17" rims. No contact issues at all. The rims are similar in style to the Coupe rims and look great (even nicer than the stock Sport rims, imho). At least in Canada, the G37x, even in Sport trim, comes with the smaller brakes. Can't speak for the G37 Sport as my dealer doesn't bring in any non-awd sedans in our climate!

Yeah, the question is regarding clearance with the larger sport brakes....To be safe it may be better to look at 18's.

I ordered 18's from Tire Rack. After looking of pics of the clearance and seeing it first hand there's little chance you can get a 17" wheel to clear.
