Hey guys,

I'm trying to get the Address Book transfer to work between my brand new G37s and my Blackberry and it doesn't seem like it wants to work.

I have my blackberry's bluetooth setting set to transfer "All Address Book Entries".

I have them paired perfectly. However, when I try to initiate the Address Book Transfer on the G37, it immediately drops the bluetooth connection to my Blackberry.

Anybody know how to get this to work?

Does the same thing with the 8830, whether trying transferring one at a time, or the entire phonebook, although the limitation of 40 addresses would be an issue, but thought I'd try.

Looked up the compatability of the BlackBerry for the '07 G coupe, and it appears the advanced features of phonebook downloads (either sigle or entire address book is not supported):

From Inifiti's website: http://www.infiniti.com/blueto...id=13

BlackBerry 8800

Basic Features Compatibility Phone Pairing Y Place a Call Y Receive a Call Y Privacy Handsfree Transfer Y Reconnects Automatically Y End a Call Y Advanced Features Call Waiting N Phonebook Download (Single Entry) NA Phonebook Download (Entire Phonebook) NA Status Indicators Battery Level NA Caller ID NA Signal Strength NA

Excellent find man At least I know definatively now.

I wonder if they'd ever knock out a firmware update that would bring in the blackberry's ability to do address book transfer?

Good point mranderson, It does look like the battery level and signal strength worked, and caller ID works...just can't get the address book to transfer.

Sweet find indeed! I have a Sprint Mogul. So it's nice to see they are testing it.

They'll have to do some sort of firmware upgrade to get it to work, because it is a complete piece of crap atm. The calls come in garbled and the other person can't hear me. :-( It does show the signal strength and the battery life (if it's low).

I really wanted this feature to work well... makes me sad.

Since no data is available on that site for the 08 Coupe, you'd be better off referencing against the 07 Sedan as it incorporates more of the same electronics as the 08 Coupe. Not sure the data will come up any different for the Blackberry, but it does for the Motorola Razr

I attempted to x-fer my contacts from my Blackberry Pearl to the 07 G Sedan an 08 QX and an 07 M45 I have on the showroom floor and it's a no go for the Blackberry's to x-fer. One of my salespeople has the LG Chocolate and it x-fered but we had to x-fer one contact at a time.
