I would like to have daylight running LED lights for my G37S 2009 Sedan. The Infiniti dealer told me it won't work as there is no appropriate harness. Did somebody do it anyways? Are there some aftermarket products? Note that I prefer not to cut wires but I feel entirely comfortable to build my own T-harness if the appropriate connectors & pins are available for purchase somewhere.

Not sure...you could always look at the FSM (link in my sig) for the diagrams and make your own...

Canada models are the only ones that came with DRL's but I believe the G37's still used the factory headlights but had them dimmed. As Joe said you could look through the FSM to see if there is a reference to the Canada DRL's to see if it lists parts, otherwise there is nothing. You could always wire up your parking light to be on when the car is on but the light output would be minimal compared to the headlights.

you will have to make your own wire thru headlight fog lights, I did in the faux holes:

Do you have instructions on making the grilles or did you purchase them? I'm intrigued.

I made my own:>) :dblthumb: I used the faux hole covers and made templates so the grill covers over the Leds fit in the diamond holes and poke the led tips thru the grill holes. wired them with the fog light behind the head lights, :bowrofl:

Ah, so you cut the holes out and put the grille over the factory cover with screws.

cmesurf, very nice! So if I understand this correctly the LEDs are sandwitched between the factory grill which has no holes and the grill you made yourself. The grill you made yourself only has cutouts where the LEDs are located. In the factory grill you put 3 holes, one for the wire and two to screw your own grill to. Did I get that right?

If that is correct then what type of LEDs did you use? My concern would be to shorten them during rainy days.

Finally, my car does not have any fog lights. From your description it seems yours does not, either. Are the wires for fog light still there anyways? How do you put power to it as there is no switch to turn the fog light on/off?

yes, The leds are installed on to faux hole covers and covered with perforated grill pc cut to faux hole cover. the backend of leds are wired and connected to back of fog light wires of the head light.
I have these since 2010 and has no issues,
Here are the Pre-wired 3mm LEDs I used.
