Hi. Was wondering if anyone has found good site for replacement trunk lid hydraulic lift. The OEM PART is a Stabilus Lift o Mat 84430JJ50A. I found one place that sells these for $170+, seems like a lot.

I have 09 also, why do you think you need to replace them?

Well, good question. The trunk has always been very heavy to raise. Lately it seems heavier. Also, although it easily stays open when fully opened, it closes when partially open about 3/4 or less. I think that's worse than when it was new. Maybe not. In any event I want to try new lifts to see if things improve b

These shocks don't go bad but if you want to get them I get discounted prices from my dealer I can ask him how much for two, my guess, two will be about $300. Once I confirm I can send you info. My trunk works fine stays open all the way. I have had my vert since Aug 2009.

Is your trunk very heavy to lift open, and does it close on it's own when not fully open?? It's been so long since we bought it but I could swear I used to be able to raise it a little more than halfway and it would stay up on it's own. Maybe not.

Mine stays open. Yes it's heavy, the hard top system adds about 400 lbs, you have to careful. I'll also ask my dealer about your issue to see what he says.

Thanks much. We don't have an Infinity dealer here on Maui. I call the guys on Oahu whenever we have an issue. They are very helpful but some things need hands on.

I checked with my dealer/tech and their advise is to check your stabilus lift supports to see if there's any leak and clean the shafts with dry towel as dirt can get around the seals. Do not use any lubricant.

Yes thanks. I can get them for $150 total online but I'm going to have it checked out at the Nissan place first.

I'm not sure at what height the AUTO CLOSURE takes over but in my 2009 Vert, the servo would close the lid when it was 1/3 open.

Wow 1/3 open. I wish mine would keep open. When I raise the trunk lid (which feels very heavy) it will not stay open on its own until very close to full open. Halfway and less it just drops, then the motor locks it.
