Agree with Matt. If you want more torque, what kind of torque numbers are you looking for?The engineering and computer programming set on the 3.7 motor are designed for a beautifully linear torque delivery from idle to 5252 rpm, where torque physically drops off, but remains remarkably smooth to redline. Its purpose, if you haven't noticed, is for effortless acceleration and spectacular rev-ups. All thanks to the VVEL and big bore design. If you want to increase torque without FI, you will have to make a sacrifice somewhere else. Like a Hemi, you can lose noticable torque below 2500rpm and gain midrange if you get yourself a more direct intake plenum(which I don't think anyone makes any), or if you go for full manifold and plenum rebuild, direct dual throttle would provide a big chunk of torque if you can reprogram the ECM for slightly longer VVEL actuation on heavy throttle (with a slightly longer injector pulse) and you have a more free flowing exhaust. That way you'll still have that bottom end torque, and you won't experience any h0nd@ like waiting period for your low end torque, and get big midrange chunks added to your driving experience. Or was that too much info?
