I'm with you on this one..Q45Owner wrote:Well, at first I thought this was a bad idea, but now I completely understand why Infiniti is doing this. The G37 has been wildly successful and perhaps they realized that a complete redesign of the G in addition to a renaming structure was too much at one time. It could hurt them in the short term. So by keeping both sedans in their lineup, they can please buyers who still love the G, while also offering a newer and better vehicle in the Q50. I think what they should do though is bring back the G25 for the 2014 & 2015 model years, which would accomplish two things: It would help bring down the base price of the G and separate itself from the Q50 a bit more and two - it would leave the G37 as the higher end option for those who still want it. By having the G37 and Q50 go head to head with the same exact engines and having the G37 be more affordable than the Q50 could end up hurting Q sales, which is exactly what they don't want. I think if they're going to keep the G37 until 2015, they should at least re-name the G the "Q30" for the 2015 model year to be more streamlined with their new nomenclature and so it acts as like a slow transition to the new entry level Q30 sedan that they're currently working on.
good information man, keep us posted on this and any other important messages or information from Infinity.tburnz280 wrote:I work at an infiniti dealership in New Orleans. The G37 sedan in all trim levels will remain for atleast another year and the coupe will be sold as the Q60 with no more G coupes coming in. To accomodate for the two models being sold side by side, the G37 sedan took a $4,800.00 cut on the maroney labels which can be seen at any dealership on the sticker.
Seeing that you work at an Infinity Dealership, can you let us know - what the current incentives for the G37x awd are?tburnz280 wrote:I work at an infiniti dealership in New Orleans. Maybe you'd like to tell us which cars in this class are better and not overpriced (not that I think the G37 is)seldomseen wrote:The G37 should be phased out now. It's dated and overpriced.
