2009 G37x Sedan

This is my first post after visiting this forum for a while. I do see one other topic regarding the manual mode switch failure but it is 2 years dead. I have recently experienced this and am no longer able to get the car into M/DS mode. My car is now..... 2 weeks out of warranty :'(. I made a call to the Infiniti customer convenience department.. or what ever its called, and am attempting to get this covered, as it is so close to the end of warranty. I'm not to optimistic.

Are there any places around the internet that would be a good parts supplier that i could get a new shifter assembly from that anyone has found? I have been looking for hours. and i'll i'm finding are g37S coupe shifter assemblies. which are not compatible. :( Any help would be much appreciated.

Much Thanks

Jacob

Any sourced new parts are not going to be cheap for a G. If you can hold off I'd keep looking for someone doing a part-out of a wrecked G. You can also surf ebay as well to see who is selling lots of used G car parts and send them emails to see if they can source one as well....assuming they are parting out wrecked vehicles.

Otherwise you may be able to get them through places like tunerzstore.com which would be new OEM parts but would probably be a bit cheaper than purchasing from the dealer.

feel free to use the G-FAQ page for aftermarket/used parts websites.

since that is a rare faliure, and it a very low chance that is wear and tear, or user error that caused that, id just go to a dealship and see what they can do under warranty still. That problem is a defect, and 2 weeks out of warranty shouldnt matter for something like that i would think...

im at 87k+ miles on my G37x and no shifter problem, im in manual mode almost everyday...
