G37 sedan Traffic Info question

ok, so I just bought a '09 G37 sedan (love it). Anyway I have a question that thus far I have not found the answer to. I have a 3 month trial subscription to XM and all the stations work. Traffic Info also works...sort. Explanation below.

What works: Nearby Traffic Info works. It does list accidents, road closures, etc.

Info on route: Never displays anything even with a route set. Always receive something along the lines of "information not received".

Traffic Indicator icon: It is ALWAYS grey regardless of where I drive, weather, etc. I live in San Antonio which is covered according to the XM website. I've driven all over this city to see if that icon ever turns green. (unless I am color blind to green...it doesn't turn on)

I have never seen traffic flow on the map (you know...the green, yellow, etc) lines. I have seen the little accident icons though.

Am I missing something here? All the settings are selected in the navigation settings window. Just wanted to ask here real quick before I took it to the dealership.

Good question.

I checked XM's NavTraffic website. Looking through the FAQs, I found that it may not display all traffic data if your map database is out of date. That's all that I found and I doubt your maps are out of date.

Hopefully the dealer figures it out.

yea...well...figured it out. Infiniti diagnosed me with being color blind. Very embarrassing. I drove by there today (to pick up a license plate holder) and to ask the question. Asked the guy why it never goes "green"...and dude said "it is green". Switching it to the night view I could see that it was green....but on day I still think it looks grey. Asked one of my buds as well...and he confirmed that it was green.
