That's a reasonable inference, except that the current-generation G35 sedan already went through it's "evolutionary development" in the 2007 model year. If the G35 sedan were to be upgraded to 3.7 liter, one could reasonably infer that the G37 coupe would soon be bored out to 3.9 liter.
Although, Infiniti could also just release a G37 sedan to bring them up to par in "the numbers" and stop there until the next "evolutionary development."
