I'm looking to get an 09 or 10 G37 but am a little confused on the "S". I thought it meant Sport model but see that there was a Sport package that could be added, so no red "S" on rear. I figured the red "S" must then be 6MT with manual transmission, but see some that have the red "S" but are automatics, others listed as "G37 Sport" with no red "S". What gives?

Biggest telltale of the full sport package is if the car has the big brakes (they are gray for that model year and say Infiniti on the caliper).

Not everyone that lists cars for sale gets the listing stuff right. Here's what to look for to tell if the G37 is a true sport package:
1) Big brakes - the calipers are solid gray and say "Infiniti" on them.
2) Red "S" next to G37.
3) If automatic, it has paddle shifters behind the steering wheel.
4) 19" wheels in silver.

There are other things that are part of the package, such as a limited slip differential and different suspension, but that's not something you can easily see.

Good luck!
