I know each rim cost about $1000. I don't know what the dealer would charge you because the car is under warranty. I had my right rear rim replaced because it was cracked and they said it was a manuf. defect so it was free for me.

With so many young owners replacing their OEM rims with aftermarket versions, there must be quite a few OEM’s laying around collecting dust, waiting to be sold at a bargain.

If it has a few scratches I would say just go get it fixed instead of buying new ones, or check craiglist or something because maybe like magellan said, someone may have after market rims so there OEM ones might be just laying there like mine haha

I must say - I could never understand why so many people are replacing the OEM rims on the G37S -- those 19" rims are GORGEOUS. Why oh why oh why??

I agree, and we’ve touched on this subject before.

Now I’m an old fuddy-duddy, but I don’t really understand why anyone would pull off attractive OEM rims and go out and spend up to $4,000 for different ones, while brand new OEM’s collect dust in a garage or storage area for ten years before they’re thrown out. And that says nothing about the possibility of the TPMS no longer working. Besides, at any speed above 5mph, no one can tell what rims you have on anyway.

If it’s the young at heart’s call for individuality, it would be cheaper to just pierce their tongues or get a tattoo.

I personally purchased a wheel/tire coverage program for the 39 months of my lease where the dealer would replace the wheel and/or tire if they were damaged due to a pot hole, side walk, parking rash, etc. The only think they wouldnt cover is wear on the tires due to normal use. The deal was like 395$ out of my pocket but that sure beats the hell out of buying new wheels/tires for the next 3 years...

You got ripped off They will tell you that it was your fault for the damage and not cover it.
