so i bought used g37 rims 19in.. now i need to put some new tires on them and my question is what are good tires to wrap them in? i been shopping around and damn tires are stupid expensive... i from brooklyn ny and i was wondering should i go with all season tires or summer tires? ive been looking at continental dws all season tires or hancook ventus summer tire. the continental are 190 a piece and the hancook are 180 the hancooks look more sporty the the continental.. ive heard that the continental may be a rougher ride and may sound a lil loud and then the hancooks are not as bad please can anyone help me out.. i have a bubble in one of my tires and i wanna hurry and change them. thanks for the help guys

I'm planning to buy the Hankook summers for the wheels I just bought. I've had decent experience with Continental - it was a step up from the stock Bridgestones, but I like the Goodyear All-seasons I bought last summer. After these are worn down, I'm planning to wrap my stock wheels in winter tires.

If you're going to have two sets of wheels/tires anyways, why not get the most out of them? Were you planning on ditching the stock wheels?

Well I just plan on buying just front ones for now. Yes I do plan on ditching them just because they are worn!! I have michiling piolit sports and there not as bad as the front. So I def gonna buy the front first then do the back by the summer time cause tires are crazy expensive. There shouldn't be a problem with the different tires in the back right? Another thing are the winter tires sporty looking? And how do they drive

Wait, I didn't mean the stock tires. You said you bought G37 rims... are you holding onto your stock rims?

Having different tires in the rear shouldn't be a problem, as long as they've got tread, but if you put the summer tires on the rears only, you won't be getting the benefit of all the traction that you'd get with them on the front.

Hmm well thats a nice setup or you can look at 255/40/19 rear and 245/40/19 front. it would help the wheels look more flush with the fenders instead of being sunked in. but then again you will be adding more weight. But it all depends what you prefer. and whatever is more cost efficient.

+1 on that.i bought a whole set for $700 shipped from tire rack, size 245/40/19s all the way around. tires are great, the weight of the rims+tire isnt though haha. i have the G37s rims btw. if you want the tires to hang slightly over the rim, you may want to try 255/35/19s.

if you want to keep the staggered look, do the 225/40/19 in the front, 245/40 in the back. your front tires will look smaller. but there is no rub problems having 245/40/19 for me. i have staggered rims too, 8.5 front, 9 back but i am on stock springs. i cant tell they are staggered having 245/40 all around. http://www.rimsntires.com/specs.jsp double check this website for the right tire size, so you dont throw off your speedo

Nope you will not rub at all but your ride will be rough. and you will have more chances of damaging your wheels if you hit potholes and such. go 245/40/19 all around or like Rasmot says if you want staggered go 245/40/19 rear and 225/40/19 front but i think 225/45/19 would be better i think thats what the g37 originally come with in the front. Tirerack is a great company but they dont test fit anything like we do! ;) i have g37 wheels too and right now i have 255/40/19 all around. i know my mileage is a bit off but i am sure its ultra hard to damage these wheels now. the streets that ive gone through are all badly damaged as well as freeways.

those rims are super tough anyways, i slid into a curb going 20mph on a icy day, slammed my passenger in the curb and bounced right off, i thought for sure i bent it. Checked later and it was just a small curb mark. Enkei forged!

Hey guys Im new here, Im also on Nissan Club forums. I also just got staggered 8.5/9 G37 rims and was looking for tire sizes, I was told the stock 225/45/19 is harder to find with a matching 245/40, but I see you(rasmot) run the same size front and rear with the staggered rim size. SO the tire doesn't look bigger on the front rim? any pics for us? Thanks.
