Hey team!

My 2003 m45's rims are toast. Previous owner apparently never saw a curb he couldn't grind.

I've talked to a couple local refurbishment places and quotes come in roughly $800-1050 to repair and powder coat the group. I found a listing on my local fb marketplace for a set of g37 Enkei wheels for $500, but I'm having trouble sussing out the offsets and whatnot via google. Anyone have experience trying these on an m45, or are they just simply not compatible?

Here's what I've found on the interwebs:

m45 factory wheels 18x7.5 offset 40mm
g37 enkei wheels 18x8 offset 43mm

The Wheel offset calculator at 1010tires says 9mm less inside, 3mm extension outside. Seems pretty dang close to me, no? Sorry, total newb with regard to wheel fitment.

They should fit fine as far as my limited knowledge can see. I doubt 3mm more outside will rub on the wheel wells

The only real problem with using G37 wheels is that they aren't designed with the M45 weight in-mind.
You will probably crush those things like soda cans.
I can still get you a set of OEM wheels in chrome from my recent sale of my car (I included both satin finished and a set of chrome OEM ones).
They'll be shipped from Speonk, New York. There are 5 chrome wheels since even the spare is fullsized.
