Ok this is extreme and custom and def not a simple bolt in... or is it?
I was told by a Friend of mine who owns a custom shop that he's heard of another shop swapping a complete rear suspension and driveline (not engine trans) from a G35 or G37 (not sure which) into an R50 Pathy and another setup from another Nissan Model for the front (no details on that, as of yet).
Anyone hear of this, or know whodunit? The point of such a swap is to make a (obviously) lowered, road racing/track worthy, R50 based, competition vehicle. SUPPOSEDLY... the RB26 Skyline drivetrain is a very simple drop-in to the gaping throat of the R50 chassis. Electrics are easily done as the body is all analog and the Engine electrics are standalone. Again, So I'm told.
I'm not there yet. (electrics) I just want to work out the specifics of the suspension, rear discs, drive shafts, LSD and related. A G37 setup would be amazing all by itself.
So what does anyone know of this? Go!
