Just letting you guys know that many, many dealerships are going to be having parties for the G37 at around August 16th from what I know. I assume it's going to be slightly different from place to place. Check with your local Infiniti dealership to see when it is! There will be drinks, food, and of course... the G37 (for show only). I'm planning on going to the one in Riverside, CA. Hope to see any of you guys there!

The local dealer here has told me they will have a showroom vehicle on the 6th (owned by Infiniti so no test driving!).

The production models are supposed to arrive on the 16th.

Mine was the second or third one ordered from the dealership so I am hoping to pick it up then!

Hey welcome to NICO, muchomas! From what I know, my dealership still doesn't really know when the vehicles will be coming in for sure. I found out that my vehicle is #44 in this whole country so I hope it arrives on the day they say it will! Seems as though so far the earthquake in Japan a while ago hasn't really affected the production of the cars.

Thanks, glad to be here.

I sold my 2001 Acura CLS about 2 months ago. Since then I have been commuting in our spare vehicle, a 3/4 ton Dodge Ram Crew cab. I am very anxious for my G37 to get here.

It's interesting to see all the G37/335I comparisons. I was actually going back and forth between the 335i and a Mercedes CLK550. I looked at the Infiniti at the last minute and really just liked the styling on it better than the other two. I wish it had more torque, but if I really have to have it I guess thats what mods are for.

I'm curious. What're the main things that you're looking for in your next car? and is price a factor?

As far as features I look for, it goes like this

CoupeBack seat big enough to at least take a couple of adults out to dinnerSports car handlingLots of horsepower/fastAutomatic (I know, what a wimp)A well done interior.A car that looks good and is a little bit uncommon.

Price is a little bit of a factor because I'm a tight wad. I can't stand the thought of the depreciation I would see on a high dollar car commuting 50 miles to work each day. This ruled out some pretty cool cars such as the CLK630 AMG Black.

The G37 does pretty well in most catagories although I would like a little more room in the back seat and trunk and wish it would take the 335i in the quarter. I think the interior is a vast improvement over the G35 coupe. Down here the BMW 3 series seem to be a dime a dozen, although most of them are 328 or 325 sedans.

Hi all,

Just to clarify, the actual "ON SALE" date for the G37 is August 21st. Even if we have G37's in stock, customers can't take delivery until the 21st.

By the way our "Unveiling Event" is also August 16th. from 6:00 - 8:00.

If any of you are local and want to attend, hors d'evours and refreshments are being served. Just let me know if you can make it.

Thank you very much for the friendly invite. I wish I could go to your dealership... just so that I can see it 3 hours earlier.

Hmmm... when concerning the backseat, I remember reading that someone actually had a G37 in their shop at Hawaii and he went to see how big the backseat was. He said that people under 6' should be able to sit back there comfortably (that is if the people in the front don't need a ton of leg room but a reasonable amount). He also said that people over 6', forget it, hehe. That's really my only gripe on the G37. I wish it had more space also.

Launch parties in Dallas are:

Sewell on Lemmon Ave. August 16th 6:30-8:00. They are taking RSVP's now so call and get on the list.

Crest Infiniti in Dallas is I believe on August 17th. I am not sure of the time yet. I have already driven this car and it is an amazing vehicle. I had the chance to drive it about three months ago out at Texas Motor Speedway and for those of you buying one I think you will really like it.

I am a G35 coupe owner and while I love mine I think the new one is very much improved. I am holding out to see what the new EX crossover looks like. If I don't like it then I will sell the G35 and buy a G37.

Hey welcome to NICO, fluentdesigns! Unfortunately, I'm not going to be able to go to the party anymore but at least I'll be able to see it in person this Saturday. What did you put a deposit on?

Have they let you drive it around yet or is that a pure no-no until after the "celebration"?

My dealer let me test drive it. I don't know if I had special permission because I have a deposit down on one or if they were letting anyone.

Test drives are pretty much from dealership to dealership. I know a lot of people have been able to test drive the vehicle while other dealerships refuse to allow anyone test drive the car until a later date.
