I've had my platinum graphite G37S for a little over a month, and recently noticed a mismatch in the color of certain body panels. Specifically, the bumpers, fuel-filler door, and driver and passenger doors look darker than the rest of the car. This is not noticeable under direct sunlight or in a well-lighted garage, but is pretty obvious in the shade, at dusk, and on cloudy days.

I checked with the dealer and they claim this is due to a difference in materials used for these panels (plastic vs. metal), and there is little they can do to fix it. Has anyone else encountered this problem, and, if so, did you have better luck getting it fixed?

I don't have Platinum Graphite, but my Amethyst Graphite has no variations at all in the body panels.

I drive a white G35 and also did notice that my rear bumper was a different color (a lil darker shade of white) but only in certain angle and lighting. And a body shop and they also told me its was metal vs plastic because plastic absorbs the paint and also mine is pearl white so colors like that and diamond graphite, and silver have that problem!
