In a last-minute move, Infiniti has pulled the plug on a planned "dealer tour" of the new G37.
Last week, Infiniti of Scottsdale invited interested parties to an "exclusive" preview of the production 2008 G37 Coupe, to be held at the dealership on Wednesday June 13th.
Nissan Sport Magazine was testing a production version of the 2008 Infiniti G37 (with six-speed manual transmission). After their cover photo shoot Friday night in the Los Angeles area, they'd scheduled a couple of exclusive sneak peeks at Stillen headquarters in Costa Mesa then and Infiniti of Scottsdale, in Arizona.
However, Infiniti didn't authorize a dealer tour, and an "unknown source" contacted Infiniti Corporate to complain, at which point the entire "tour" was called off by Infiniti.
Our question for Infiniti: Why would a small-circulation magazine (albeit a damn good one) rate first crack at the G37, when we here at the NICOclub Network have an audience of 125,000 people per day?
