g37 non bose sub install

Hello, just wondering if anyone has installed a sub in the rear parcel shelf in the g37 sedan. i have a 2011 g sedan but i have the non bose so im crious to see if any one has attempted to cut the deck lid and install a sub up there.

I haven't personally but I don't like cutting metal if I can avoid it. Since sub bass is omni-directional you should be fine with a standard sub enclosure in the trunk.

+1 on what Matt said. It only adds complexity and cost if you use the shelf.
