Depending on what package you're getting that scenario might be a little high. If you can hold out til next week that will definitely benefit you as they want to make sure to turn everything over prior to the year end. Bottomline is that the overall price has to be within your budget.
I'm on my fifth new infiniti in six years so I'm pretty experienced at this. During the six years i've leased four and bought one. Between my wife and i, i am leasing a new one every year and half to two years.
When you lease try to do so with the absolute minimum out of your pocket as you will never recoupe what you put out. The reduction in payment is not significant enough to warrant the out of pocket expense and you will never make up that difference between the reduction in payment and the payoff through the life of the lease. They usually require at least the first month payment and taxes, but if you're credit is strong enough they'll let you do a $0 drive off (which is not a dime out of your pocket).
If you plan on keeping the car for a while then you may want to consider purchasing as the rates are pretty good for a 5yr finance option, maybe even a 6yr as well.
If you're not trading in a car then a straight up lease on a 2009 fully loaded coupe with the nav. package should run you around $530 a month with $0 drive off.
i just turned in my 2007 M45 and they paid off the $2550 in remaining payments plus the registration. I leased the 2009 g37 couple with nav package (sticker was $43.6K) for the following:
-$0 drive off-$617 a month (OTD)-39 month lease-12K miles*had them throw in chrome (after i agreed on the price)
I simply handed them the M45 and the keys and took the G37 coupe. They don't even run my credit anymore. They simply make the swap. These Infiniti's are amongst the best cars i've ever had and one of the easiest dealers to work with. Not once have I ever had a problem with any of the cars throughout the six years. I will most likely keep this for a couple of years and go back to the new version of the M45 (now M56) after it's been out for a year or two.
Good luck.
