Hey Infiniti,

This is really one of the best iPod menu driven navigation systems that I've seen. Compared to Alpine and a couple others that I've seen.

I do have a couple suggestions that I believe would really make your menu system complete.

iPod Navigation:1. If I'm at the very top of my list of Artists.. say in the A's.. It would be great if I could scroll up and immediately pop back up at the end of the Z's! I have a really large music list and this would make it easier for me to get to the bottom, quickly.

2. Can you please make it so that if I hold down the "up" or "down" buttons while navigatins artists/songs.. that after a couple seconds, it just sort of began flying through the list.. fast-forward style? If you could make it similar to how the iPod itself behaves when you use the scroll wheel faster.. i.e. lets you know your moving through B, C, D, E etc the faster you go. That would really be great.

iPod Integration:1. The spot you've placed the input for the iPod cable is a little strange to me. I would really like to have access to my cup holder and still have my iPod cable plugged in at the same time. Unfortunately, if I have my iPod cable plugged in, the cup holder doesn't fit. Maybe if you put it in the glovebox instead, that would have been better? Or somehow made it where you had a little iPod cradle? I'm not sure.. what do you guys all think?

Good ideas romerom. One question though, are you driving a 6MT because I know the 5AT's center consoles don't have cup holders (they're in front of it). I don't really understand why you can't use a cupholder. I think that for the 5AT, the iPod integration makes the center console really small (because of the tough wire that doesn't bend well), but it still works out quite nicely.

I'm in the 6MT. In front of the stick is an ashtray/lighter. The cup holder is in that little pop up console in the rear of the front center console. It pops out so that you can plug in the iPod cable / rca cable / light plugin. It does not fit with any of these things pluged in at the same time.

It's not a HUGE deal for me, but it could have been better

Question . . . in the 6MT, what is the area with the slide cover to the right of the parking brake, just storage? It looks like there are dividers?

Technically, they're bottle holders according to the Infiniti manual.

Those are cupholders. The divider can be taken out or put in.

I actually didn't think to consider that little space there with the divider as a cupholder.

I also did not notice a cup holder in the door I guess I'll have to look at this again hehe

Great posts guys, i just picked up my G37 6MT, and want to plug in my ipod, no cable came with the car. Should there have been one, the owners manual seems to suggest a cable should have come included. My sales person is pleading the 5th on this. What cable do i need?

You should go back and demand your cable....it comes with the car and it costs over $100, and it takes a long time to get. So if I were you I would go back and demand one before they have a chance to say you lost it.
