Hey guys,

I am a new member on here and my friend is helping me with IPL style front bumper he is making one of off. My question is that do I need the stock fog light in place or should I maybe fabricate a way to use the OEM fog light off my sport front? I was also thinking about making a piece like a BMW E46 CSL that uses a brake duct and fog light in the same unit. What would you guys do?

Here is the E46 CSL brake duct I am talking about.

I know most of you would say to just buy the IPL kit and not be cheap, but I like doing things differently.

Thanks guys.

Welcome to NICO!!

I would try to get the OEM to fit only because it would be easiest and probably cheapest, even though you will need to fabricate something. Will the IPL clone have a spot for the lights?

If that will be too hard, then the aftermarket one would look good too.

Pics for sure when you get done!

We have a broken IPL bumper at his shop that a customer gave him, we are going to mock the IPL bumper up and modify them with the fog light spots. We are gonna try and clone it maybe later on.

Question still is what would you guys like the OEM fogs or the Fog light add on's like in the picture?

I thought the IPL came with fogs in the lower intakes already? Just get the proper parts and it will be a stock fit.

I would prefer the stock ones but I would upgrade the headlights to 6000k HID and do a HID retrofit to 6000k fogs as well.

You can get an IPL front bumper for about 260 dollars at some dealers. The side skirts are about 500 for coupe and 800 for convertibles. The IPL has fogs in the bumper and you can buy the 50 dollar altima fogs to fit into the fog light area.
