I have had claims in the past with State Farm and they are very easy to deal with no hassles at all. I use a particular body shop that has been in business since 1948 and does spectacular work. If I switch Insurance, I will not do so If I can not use that shop exclusively. I have had State Farm for the last 23 years I just can't believe this new premium.........
Not sure about PA, but in CA we are allowed to use ANY shop we choose and the insurance company has to pay them (though they may negotiate the rates).
I'd check Progressive. We've been with them for 2-3 years now and have put through 2 claims and both have been very easy from start to finish with no "attitude" from the company.
Even with both accidents being at fault, we're paying $1080 every six months. Coverage is on the high side 100k-50k-50k or something along those lines with $500 deductibles, medical payments, and uninsured motorist (comprehensive and property). The only thing we don't have is rental car coverage.
