Just curious but where'd you read about this?Sentientbydesign wrote:I had this problem on my I30 and also on the G.
I read something about necessary venting, but I think it's a poorly designed vent system if that's the case.
I have, on high and it still makes no real big difference.joe603 wrote:Have you tried to use the floor vents with the AC on?
Spontaneous human combustion seems to always start at the feet. Make sure you put the system in auto to keep that area as cool as possible.Nocturnal wrote:

I did a search on what sentient said to search on and sure enough I've found sevral others, especially luxury car owners from the likes of Lexus, BMW, etc. all with the "auto" mode a/c and it seems to be a recurring issue. Apparently it's a feature. The thing is, I normally set my a/c to always on, no auto necessary yet the heat still builds up near the gas pedal.
Based on what I've read, I think the stuck heater core valve is a likely culprit followed by the mixer valve.Nocturnal wrote:

As long as the heater core is in fact not normally active. Otherwise it may come into play because of the heat.Nocturnal wrote:I live in Hawaii so using the heat is really not an issue. I may have an a/c shop just bypass the heater core altogether so that there is no heat whatsoever. If that doesn't fix it then I have no idea what it might be. My last option is going to be calling Infiniti and seeing if they can take a look at it since it's still under warranty.
