New to the forum and glad to be here.I just got a G37 6MT and previously had a 2003 G35 Coupe. It seems to me that the exhaust tone on the G37 is quieter than the G35. Anyone else notice this? Maybe the G37 has better sound insulation? But even with the driver window open, it sounds quieter to me.It has nothing to do with "burn-in" since the G35 had less than 3000 miles when I traded it.

Will the NISMO 350Z exhaust fit a G37? They sound nice on a Z, but the tips are round instead of oval. I like oval better, but the sound is great.

I also had an 03 Coupe. The exhaust note of the g37 is definitely tamer than the G35. The only time it seems louder is on cold start. Does everybodys G37 sound that loud and rough on cold start? I don't recall my G35 holding that many revs and being that loud. This car acts more like one of my RX7's when cold.

I agree that the exhaust note is louder and different when it's started when cold.

I noticed this at the dealer in a test drive. The car does a geat job of sound dampening. You can crank the stereo, shut the doors and the sound is very well contained.

I didn't expect it to be loud being a lux coupe, but liked the tone after you get it over 4K from inside. It wasn't until I stood outside while they moved a G off the showroom floor that I heard it outside and I was surpised at how LOUD it was.. that was indoors though. Outside it is a bit too quiet and I realized it was the a acoustics of the showroom floor.

I don't notice my G37 being louder when cold. Just wish it sounded like the G35.
