I want to make this very clear. PLEASE if you DO NOT own a G37 Coupe do not reply to this. This will not turn into a debate this will not turn into a pissing match i only want this information i am asking in the following paragraph.

Now, i have a question for all you 37 Coupe owners, Has your nav/driver information ever cut out black and you had to restart the car because of this. If so i would like to know the following.

Speed of Vehicle.Ambient TemperatureVehicle warmed up?selector level posistion (if auto)Rear View CameraRadio on or offvolume of radioWere you imputing information to write to the h/dbluetooth? if so is it on or making call.

Thank you all in advance for this i'm just gathering information for something i'm working on and why no one seems to know why this happens or when it happens they just "know" it happens.

I own a 2008 G37 6MT w/Premium. Only two or three times in the year of ownership (13,500 miles), my radio/screen have gone to black. I do not know what the temp/situations were. It happened just this morning while driving on the freeway. But, in all situations the radio/screen immediately turned themselves back on. So, I don't know if this helps you at all.

I have experienced times when my satellite will not pick up the signal upon starting the car. The only way to get the satellite to work is to turn off the car (I usually do this at a red light), then turn on the car (usually right before the light turns green), and the satellite works.

Don't know if this helps you. But, it's all I've got.

Have you taken it in for this issue?

I am trying to resolve this issue by myself without help from the higher ups, i'm just compiling information at the moment thank you sir i appreciate your input for my cause. Hopefully i can determine what is causing this one day once i actually get one to do it. This issue is very annoying since i can not get the vehicles to duplicate this problem.

I am really interested to see how this turns out. I too have seen the complaints that you are discussing here. Allot of these temporary glitches are so hard to pin down to a single component, even with all of our diagnostic equipment if it doesn't record the data and we can not duplicate the exact conditions that triggered it in the first place.

Now there is not a problem with the radio A/V control unit at this time there have been a few isolated complaints with different symptoms and we are trying to figure out commonality.

Good Job Fbpem1 on this one, the community here is great to exchange our experiences and this is a great example of the owners helping the techs out directly.

No, I have not taken it in or even mentioned it to my dealer. My dealer seems more than willing to perform TSB's with just a mention from me, but anything else is either driver/owner error or unable to duplicate. (I had posted earlier about how a tech failed to even attempt to open the sunroof when I complained about noise. The response was unable to duplicate. A week later the track broke, requiring removal of the sunroof and all components, and hand reinstallation and relubrication of the same. The repairs were perfomed by a different dealer for fear of more grief from the selling dealer if I returned with a broken sunroof a week later.) I could be wrong, but my experience with Infiniti dealers is they will only attempt to fix obvious known problems or defects. Anything else and the owner is on his own. Again, I may be wrong, but I believe, based upon my Infiniti dealers experiences, I need to wait until the unit permanently malfunctions. And then, I need to show the service advisor without shutting off the car because turning it off and then turning it on could "cure" the problem so I wouldn't have a problem when the service advisor got in the car.

Wish I could help you by taking my car in. But, if history repeats itself, it will be a big waste of my time to bring the car in just for an "unable to duplicate" complaint.

I have not had this problem but my question,is this problem with those who have purchased G37's with Nav and Technology options only? I have neither and will be on the look out if this should happen with less than 7,000 miles on my G,I cannot give much feedback on problems yet.
