hi all, yes i searched
09 g37xcoupe changed bcm need to register key old keys using consult3/security card

when in C-III nats under strg lock release(key id erase) and after entering the code(decoded by vin) and pressing start it says
not completed ck the following
pw correct
ign off and hazards on
security light does not blink if ign off (mine is blinking)

the old bcm is throwing the following dtc which is why it was replaced
b2190 nats ant amp
b2014 chain of s/l-bcm
b2619 bcm

the new(but used) bcm (exact same numbers from same car w 18"wheels and memory package) doesnt throw any dtc until you step on brake and push ign sw then it throws b2191 dif of key

also when trying to get into the configuration section of the bcm i get a popup saying vehicle doesnt correspond to ecu config or selected vehicle is wrong, ck input info, i get that with either bcm, is there a way to reset the bcm to a default setting, i saw that in the data monitor section of consult but didnt know if that was only for the monitoring

also if someone knows a step by step procedure to get the steering unlocked it stays locked even after dtc erase and manual shift lever unlock

when i got the car the shift lever was gone, i have replaced it and can use the maual shift lock release but it doesnt release the steering lock

there is no warranty left, this was a salvage car that i am keeping, flood damage only into footwells, i tried to see if a local dealer would do some diagnostic work on it and as soon as i told them salvage they wanted no part of it, saying it could cost 10000 because they would have to use all new parts only and basically talking to me like a was five, I appreciate a good techs knowledge but usually cant stand talking to most shop managers, I no longer work on cars full time but will again in 4 years when i can collect my pension.
I have restored and rebuilt dozens of cars mostly classics and hot rods with my last being sold at Barrett Jackson that i did everything on including all mechanical, electrical, bodywork, paint and buff, I'm not new to wrenching on cars but I am to the nissan consult 3 program, I'm also amazed at the complexity of the cars electronics, wish I new a local tech though as I cant write an open ended check to a dealer,I am on my own on this one

i have the service manual and the consult3 manual but dont see any nats section of the c-3 operation manual

can someone help

Welcome to NICO!

Sounds like you know your way around cars...but like you said, the ECU is pretty complicated. We do have the FSMs (link in my sig), which may have some of the answers you're looking for. If not, let me know and I'll have a tech post up.

Thank you
I have some experience with some readers and scanners (Launch 431 diagun)but it seems to me this system is a little more complex than i would have guessed, I love the G37's but maybe should have passed on if it turns out to be a pita to get into, I expected it to be a project, which I'm used to, my last two cars took me 1000hrs each, but I have never been unable to move forward on a project before, but I own it now so i want to fix it.

I have the service manual, the problem is its not showing any codes except dif of key b2191
and the consult operations manual doesnt talk about key coding at least not the version I have (v.091103 sept 09)

i have the security card in and it opens to the "enter password" part of the steering unlock(erase key id) of nats in consult3, but it wont except the password im using

I dont have access to asist ( i do have some old vhs consult 2 training videos though) so i have to use the online pin code converters which are converting 9e92e to 5905 on the new bcm and 48a2e to 1649 on the old one, i just dont know if these are correct

any help would be much appreciated

Greetings,

When I saw the thread title here I was going to say this doesn't sound likely to work...unless you have a CIII...which you do oddly enough.

Flood cars can be fun to a well qualified individual with some free time and some extra cash. These cars are a surprisingly complex and any one of a number of key items being slightly out of whack will cause a no start and full lock out in one of these cars.

The entire verification segment of the starting procedure takes only a fraction of a second. In the time it takes the lights to change from OFF to ACC the process is complete.

Due to the sensitive nature of this system I am reluctant to publicly disclose any of the information contained in the separate manual that contains the security procedural information. It would be a violation of several things I'm sure I've put my name to.

can anyone think of any reason or any procedure that needs to be done first before consult would except the pin number

if they're are no dtc codes am I safe to assume the brake light switch, a/t trans selector sw, door sw, and such are ok, since all of those will throw codes if bad?

is there anyone out there that doesn't mind discussing the key programming procedure, I'n not looking to get anyone in trouble with their jobs or corporate nissan I'm just looking to fix this car for myself. This car was never going to make its way back to the dealer service anyway, it was going to get parted.

I would be willing to pay a tech for his help either in person or through paypal but i just dont have the money to drop the car off at the dealership with a blank check which is what they want, you can email me also if you want, thanks
