I just got my G37 and given my luck, I accidentally backed up too far in my garage and bumped into a couple of bricks. There are a couple of dimple scratches that you can feel with your finger. Anyone have any clue about the best way of repairing this?

Damn man that blows

It took me a couple days to really get the hang of the size difference between the g37 and my old 2001 civic. I'm still getting better at backing in. Should get used to it soon!

So you didn't get one with the backup camera?

My rear bumper was hit with a gigantic truck reversed into left corner. He took off before I could get his entire Plate. 5EUS**.

Anyways, there were no dents but you can see some scrapes on he bumper. I tried buffing it out, but the clear coat is cracked in one area and its basically too deep.

I got a quote for some sanding, a new coat of clear and buffing.

$350 dollars...

Haha ya I guess I can finally see the use of the rear camera now *sigh* I sent some emails to a couple of body shops to see what they will quote me. The scrapes I have are a few millimetres deep. I think something that would fix my problem would require some filler. However, I've seen what some of these guys can do so hopefully they can help me out.

Hmm... I have never been in this position so I'm not sure if I can help you on this. I wish you the absolute best and keep us informed! I was going to suggest Nu Finish for buffing out scratches but I don't think it will work on those.

I really really feel your pain. I suggest you leave alone and get professional help. They may charge you but it might be better off than trying something and making it worse...

Can i ask why you back into your garage? My wife did this once in our garage and nearly took out a wall. She said she'd never do that again and i agreed with her!

It does hurt but it could have been way worse. At night you barely see it if that's any consolation. I couldn't bring myself to ever attempt the work myself. I'll wait for Monday to get a quote on the repair.

Unfortunately, my garage isn't that large so if I parked it head first I wouldn't be able to get out of the car since the driver door would be opposite of the door into my house. Also, there's no way I'd leave it outside.
