Nice car!

I don't think you would have a problem. What set are you going with? The stock calipers are Akebono. Do you have the brembo's now?

In order to put g37 brakes on the g35, you have to have a custom bracket for the fronts, assuming this is a g35 coupe, if it is a sedan, no bracket necessary. The rear is a direct bolt on. You will also have to modify (cut) the dust shields as they won't be big enough to house 14" rotors. I would recommend some stainless steel lines as well. I will be adding the g37 brakes to my g in a couple months as I already have the brackets, just waiting on my friend to buy the brembo brakes. I can get the g37 brakes new from Infiniti at a discounted price if you are interested.

Not meaning to take over the thread but its somewhat relevant....

I have a 2011 Limited Edition sedan, so it has "special" 18" wheels. I havent been able to find any specs on the wheels themselves (backspacing, etc) so I cant help there.

Any idea of the Akebono kit fits behind them?

Well obviously the offset of the wheels would determine that answer. Take one off and look on the back side of one of the spokes, the offset will be stamped on the wheel, ET--. The sport sedan has 18" wheels as well and it accommodates the sport brakes, so you should be ok.

Will the factory 19" G35 wheels even work with the G37 sport brakes without spacers?

OK. Wasn't sure if the spokes themselves would hit the caliper or not. The G37 19" wheels are pretty damn close.

Offsets are much better on the 19" rays than the enkei g37's. Offsets are +30 front and +33 rear on the Rays. The g37 sports are 43/45.

I'm not talking offsets. I'm talking about the convex nature of the G37 19" spokes so it does not hit the caliper. You can't just take any 19" wheel, regardless of offset, and slap it on the G due to the big brakes. That's why I have not upgraded yet because I don't want to purchase new 19" rims and have to get spacers to clear the brakes.....or pay the high cost for those that will fit, like some Volks ;)

Offsets play a huge roll. 15mm is over 1/2" more backspacing. The 19's clear the brembo caliper without out a doubt and there isnt a huge difference between the two. No reason you need spacers with the right offsets regardless the spoke design. You get a wider wheel with more aggressive offset and you have plenty of room.

Let's say Zero Point above is notched specifically to clear the caliper. Spokes for the positive and negative points could easily collide with the caliper. Those may need spacers to clear. It's the problem I have been running into when looking for aftermarket rims for my coupe. I don't want to spend the money and then sink another 3 bills into spacers so I've stayed with the factory rims.

I do agree, if the factory 19" rims clear the Brembo calipers then it should be fine.

I agree if you are using the same weak offsets that come standard. If you are trying to running a wheel with 3" lip, then you may have issues even with aggressive offsets. Look at the different wheels on tire rack and look at their offsets.

Actually, in regards to the G35 Brembo and the G37 Sport brakes:

I didn't realize there was that much of a difference.
