Car: Infiniti G37 Anniversary Edition

Post

Hello Everyone,

My mother just bought an Infiniti G37 Anniversary edition last week. She is loving it, but as her tech person that sets up things, I am a bit frustrated at it. The car refuses to import her contacts. It can view her phone's contacts and make calls from it, even import one contact at a time, but it will not import all at the same time. I have gone to the menu and pushed the vcard file to the car which says "Download complete. X number of contacts imported." However the car never actually puts them into its phonebook. This is driving me up the wall due to the fact that it appears to be working but doesn't. Does anyone know a work around to this? A programming mode perhaps?

Also, if I keep trying eventually it will tell me that I have imported 1000 contacts and need to delete some. The phonebook is still empty. I then have to restart the system for it to recognize that it has 0 contacts.

The car is beautiful and great but I am afraid the software in the car is several generations behind. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Is the car still under warranty?

Are you following the instructions in the owners manual to the letter?

Sorry I can't be of more help.

What kind of phone are you trying to pair?

Check it against the compatible phones list,

http://www.infinitiusa.com/bluetooth?to ... .Bluetooth

First thing I would try is deleting and repairing both the phone from the car and the car from the phone.

Depending on make, model there should/might be a setting to export the correct data in a way the car can understand.

Also check the operating software edition of the AV control unit.

Press INFO

Version Software,
[should end in 1,1a]
if it ends in 1b it might have already been updated.
There is a small update TSB for some 09/10 Gs that might be needed to fix this.

Hope your moms still liking the car. They really are nice.

(the Version 1b nav software might be nee)
