Obnoxious. If it's a track car then that's one thing. Not on a street car.

Hmmm....Is there supposed to be an increase in HP when it's crazy loud or is it just for show?

There might be an increase of 2 or 3 hp from less back pressure. I recall reading that swapping the stock G35 sedan exhaust system for a 350Z's gave a boost of 6 hp.

I think a loud exhaust note is fine on exotic cars and real track racers, but it just seems a bit... out of place on a G37.

Plus, if your car sounds like that people will expect you to have some serious power to back it up. I'd rather have a stock looking sleeper with a twin turbo than a show-boaty car with stock performance.

I am so against super loud exhausts, especially on 4 strokes. (Like with F'ing Harleys). No gain for all the pain. It's like buying a red sports car. Wouldn't you rather not get a ticket? You hear this all the time, with 4 cylinder rat cars pushing, what 120db's, and going some 40 miles an hour!

I was once drag racing a Vette in my 2002tii, and even though I beat him off the line (I am a racer) he really cam on in second gear. I was ahead of him when the cop saw/heard us. He got the ticket, even though I was in the lead.

The noise! I use to race Motocross, and have always been against loud revving in the pits. Shut up!! It's OK when you are on the throttle, it's really obnoxious to everybody else.

That being said ( I hate Brutal) I would like if my G37 had a richer sound. I've noticed older G's have a throatier sound....

Mine is louder than factory but not that loud. One day I'll have to get a drive-by and takeoff vid.
