I have a 2008 G35xS and I'm trying to figure out whether they put the larger Akebono's in the front or if it's the old Brembo system. Does anyone know what is on the 08 xS?

Also, what would you recommend for replacement pads and rotors? I'm thinking StopTech for the rotors and want a low dust, low noise, great stopping power set of pads. Your help is appreciated!

Low noise, low dust and great stopping power (along with reasonable wear) are mutually exclusive. It's all a compromise. Where on that range do you want to be?

For stopping power you might want to go with metallics. Downsides are (relatively) short life; noise, lots of dust; and they need to be warmed up to provide the best results. There are some good ones from Hawk and Raybestos. Be warned that on the street under normal driving your stop distance will be longer because the pads won't be hot enough most of the time. On the track they are really good.

The '08 G35xS did not use the Brembo nor Akebono brakes. The sport sedan had 13x1.3" front and 13x.6" rear rotors (larger than base but still not Akebono/Brembo size) but the X sport still has the base 12.6x1.1" front and 12.1x.6" rear rotors.
