2004 G35x. In Saint Louis, most of the winter snows are 1 - 3", with an occasional 4 - 8" drop.

What has been the experience of G35x drivers? Will 4-season tires be sufficient (I'm considering Bridgestone Turanza Serenity http://www.tirerack.com/tires/...ing=V), or should I spring for separate snow tires?

Thank you!

Welcome to Nico!!

I won't comment because I have a Coupe...

On another note...I'm a HUGE Rams fan even when they we're in L.A.

LOL...welcome aboard!

Obviously the safest option would be to get yourself some winter tires, but its up to you if you want to spend the extra $5-600 dollars.

But if you pickup a GOOD set of all season tires, you should be good in small snow storms.

I found out the hard way that the RS-A's are possibly the worst all season tires ever made.

I am glad you are not making the same mistake.

Agreed. I went that route on my 560SEC http://landiss.info/560sec/

I would not bother with winter tires unless you routinely get heavy snows. Take the stock RS-A's off your X as pits200 said and get a good set of all seasons. I like the Yokohama all seasons personally. I have had them for a while with no problems over the winter months. The stock RS-A's were bad, make that awful - IMO. I personally have never driven a car on such an awful tire. The bad thing is that I think tire rack had given the RS-A's a good rating - go figure. I have also owned Pirelli high performance all seasons (M&S rated) and they were great as well. I try to stay away from ultra high performance all seasons as they are too low profile and the ride on the X get a little harsh over less than accomodating road surfaces.
