Can i change my bose sub for another sub without installing another amp....and if so will the difference be worth it?

Can be changed but will have little to no effect without increasing the power with a better amp or mounting the sub in a enclosure as well. You can only get so much out of a small infinite baffle small sub before its time to ad a box and some power or spend the time to upgrade the size.
