G35X versus G35

I really enjoy this forum because you've been able to answer questions that sit in my head. You've already helped clear a lot of old baggage out of my skull. However, I do have another question that I need to purge. How much horsepower do you lose on a G35X with the AWD? Is there a transfer case like a 4X4 truck has - sucking ponies? I know the extra weight of the AWD car robs some power, but I'm curious if it's null when only the 2 rear wheels are working and how much is taken at a 50/50 Frt/rear? I'm contemplating going with an "S" versus another G35X when the lease is up.

I'm not 100% positive, but I want to say the X is the fastest G out there, stock that is, because of the AWD and its added traction. Any truth to that guys?

They are pretty much the same on dry road. They actually tested the x slower by.1 second due to the crapy tire. The Attesa does not take much power away from the wheels. It is basically a RWD car. The awd only kicks in when needed. When I go home I'll try to find a good reading about the Attesa system. I'd say if you don't need AWD at all go for the s next time. But for sure testdrive it before many many times.

You should get and xS then you have the best of both worlds... But hey you will get a G37 nextime your lease is up lol

I think the Best G would be a G37 Sedan Black with the xS package and a 6MT.. And you need to add the Premium, Tech, Nav, and all of the goodies with 19's Chrome wheels
